The evolution of diagnostic tools, the simplification of surgical techniques and the wide range of training available today have made oral and implant surgery increasingly predictable, with very high success rates and a significant reduction in morbidity. Despite this, even in the most experienced hands, complications can occur, making it essential to know how to prevent and manage them correctly.

This course was created precisely with the aim of providing participants on the one hand with the knowledge necessary to optimise the results of the most common oral surgery and implant operations, and on the other hand with the theoretical and practical bases for dealing with possible complications, both intraoperative - such as neuro-vascular complications - and post-operative, such as infections. Ample space will be devoted to analysing the clinical situations that most frequently present criticalities, such as the extraction of included teeth or regenerative techniques for implant purposes, such as sinus lift, GBR and bone grafts.

The training programme will enable participants to learn to recognise potential risk factors already at the diagnostic stage, to correctly identify the anatomical structures involved during surgery, and to manage possible complications both immediately and at a distance from the surgical act. The approach will be practical and oriented towards daily clinical practice, offering useful and immediately applicable tools, especially for those who wish to acquire greater confidence in the most delicate phases of oral and implant surgery.
